Martin Fröst is looking forward to a period full of high profile events. In the coming month he conducts and plays with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonics in an all Mozart programme. He then joins forces with Mitsuko Ushida on an US tour which includes Philadelphia and New York(Carnegie Hall) and in the same month he will appear with the Rotterdam Philharmonics performing the Aho Clarinet Concerto.

Summer highlights for Martin will include two London Proms in the Royal Albert Hall. One with the Göteborg Symphony Orchestra and Gustavo Dudamel and one with Messiaen´s Quartet for the end of Time. Other London engagements this summer include the Mostly Mozart Festival with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields at the Barbican Centre. Martin will also go back to the Verbier Festival,Mondsee Musiktage,Aldeburgh Festival,Wiesbaden Festival and two performances of Nielsen Clarinet concerto with the Stuttgart Opera.

His music features regularly in the programmes of orchestras, contemporary music ensembles and festivals worldwide; and as composer/conductor he has led projects focusing on his work in centres such as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Lucerne, Gothenburg. His most recent operas, Le Balcon and Angels in America, are following the lead of his Three Sisters by generating an ever-increasing number of new productions; and several major music theatre commissions are due in the next few years.
